Amphony introduces a line of iPod Wireless Speakers for Outdoors and Whole-House Audio

BERLIN, March 1, 2012 - Amphony is debuting its iFinityTM line of wireless speakers which feature CD-quality uncompressed wireless audio streaming up to 600 feet throughout a home.

"From the flawless and ultra-robust digital wireless transmission to the low-distortion dual 80-Watt power audio amplifier inside each wireless speaker - we set out to create a product which doesn’t compromise on audio quality in any respect," said Gunter Fellbaum, Marketing Director at Amphony.

"Each wireless speaker can be paired to a transmitter which sends music from an iPod and - thanks to its variety of audio inputs - almost any other audio gadget by digital wireless transmission. Unlike Bluetooth, the wireless audio signal is not compressed and can travel to multiple wireless speakers up to 600 feet away. The wireless transmission is extremely robust against radio interference from other wireless devices. The woofer and tweeter of each wireless speaker are driven by two independent digital amplifiers (bi amplification). The built-in amplifiers excel in providing 80 Watts of clean RMS power, an audio distortion of less than 0.06% as well as small size and weight due to their high power efficiency. Multiple wireless transmitters can operate in the same house and create different audio zones."

The iFinity Wireless Indoor/Outdoor Speaker is available as a set which includes one wireless transmitter and one wireless speaker for a target retail price of $179.00. Another set which includes one transmitter and two wireless speakers has a target retail price of $299.00. Additional wireless speakers can be purchased separately to add audio in other rooms.

Amphony introduces ultra-miniature audio amplifier for home audio

Amphony is unveiling its microFidelityTM series audio amplifier, Model 100 which is an ultra-small lightweight amplifier designed for home audio applications.

"Being only the size of a pack of cigarettes, our Model 100 audio amplifier delivers 50 Watts of power and thereby offers an unprecedented power-to-size ratio," said Gunter Fellbaum, Marketing Director at Amphony.

"The small size of our Model 100 amplifier is due to the high power efficiency and allows the amplifier to be placed virtually anywhere. The amplifier can be switched to drive either two speakers at a maximum power of 20 Watts per speaker or a single speaker as a monoblock amplifier at up to 50 Watts. Our Model 100 achieves a 115 dB signal-to-noise ratio, a total harmonic distortion of only 0.05 % and a frequency response of 1 Hz to 75 kHz. At an idle power consumption of less than 2 Watts, the amplifier does not need ventilation and is environmentally friendly."

The microFidelityTM series audio amplifier, Model 100 is primarily designed for high-fidelity home-audio, studio-monitor and home-theater applications and has a target street price of $69.
